CCAP Information

CCAP – Community College Access Program

Students who qualify for the program can have up to 3 years of their tuition cost at Virginia Western covered by CCAP program – This means you can have 3 years of college tuition paid for!

How to qualify for the CCAP Program:

  1. Have a 2.0 GPA by the beginning of your senior year
  2. Attend Roanoke City Public Schools for your Junior and Senior year.
  3. Apply to Virginia Western – you will receive and EMPL ID# that will be used for your placement testing
  4. Take the Math and English Placement test
  5. Pass both the Math and English Placement test
  6. Complete the CCAP application
  7. Complete your FAFSA and make sure Virginia Western is listed as a school you would like to receive your FAFSA information
  8. Periodically check your Virginia Western email for any additional information needed to complete the application process. 

ALL of this must be done by the CCAP deadline, which is February 16th.  

CCAP Informational Sessions:
Administrators from Virginia Western Community College Educational Foundation and Office of Financial Aid will be on hand to answer questions about CCAP.  The meetings will be held in Whitman Theatre on the campus of Virginia Western, located at 3095 Colonial Avenue in Roanoke

Session are scheduled as follows:
October 10, 2017: 6:30 to 8pm
November 14, 2017: 6:30 to 8pm
December 7, 2017: 6:30 to 8pm
January 18, 2017: 6:30 to 8pm
Feb. 6, 2017: 6:30 to 8pm
