Strong Academy 2019
S.T.R.O.N.G. Academy 2019-2020 Announced

William Fleming
Announces the 2019-2020 S.T.R.O.N.G. Academy

The faculty and staff of William Fleming wants all students to finish the school year strong.

To ensure all students finish strong, Archie Freeman, Principal, wants to share with parents and guardians a program we started last year called S.T.R.O.N.G Academy.  This is an opportunity for students who have missed days of school to earn time back and complete work to improve their grades.  The Virginia Department of Education requires instructional hours for all students. If students are not present in class, there is a strong possibility of students being considered truant.  Attending S.T.R.O.N.G. Academy gives students an opportunity to make up missed time to avoid truancy.  William Fleming High School is being proactive in providing this Academy.  Academy sessions will take place Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30pm to 6:00pm.  Transportation and food will be provided.

The faculty, staff, and administration at William Fleming High School believes that all students can learn and we want to provide continuous opportunities for students to be successful.  If you have additional questions, you may contact Darrin Lindsay (9th grade), Richard Wilson (10th – 12th grade A – L), Sheila Herron (10th – 12th grade M-Z), school counselors, Ms. Stacy Jackson (Hart Hall Secretary) or administrators at (540) 853-2781.
