LIZA DECK earned her MFA in dance from Arizona State University after attending Hope College where she received the Florence Cavanaugh Dance Award. She has performed professionally with Andrew's Arts Dance Company, Aerial Dance Company, Roanoke Ballet Theatre, Opera Roanoke, Mill Mountain Theatre, danah bella DanceWorks and is currently the head of City Modern Ensemble. Since 1994, Mrs. Deck has directed the Fleming-Ruffner dance department and is proud to be the founder of the F.R.E.E. Dance Company. Liza has taught at the American College Dance Festival, Regional High School Dance Festival, Hollin's outreach, Virginia Tech outreach and Washington and Lee University. Her choreography has been featured at Virginia Tech, Radford University and Washington and Lee University and she has been a guest performer at Radford University, Washington and Lee University and Hollins University.
