Where I am from: Fort Mitchell, KY which is just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, Ohio. This means I'm a huge Cincinnati Bengals (football), Reds (baseball), and FC Cincinnati (soccer) fan. My dad has worked for UPS since he was 18. My mom went back to school while I was in high school to become a dental hygienist - she never let us have Mountain Dew in the house because, "It rots your teeth!" My wife and I have two daughters: Ellie (turning 4 in Oct.) and Isabelle (turning 2 in Feb.). High School: I went to Beechwood HS. My graduating class had 74 kids. I played basketball and football for BHS. I have a state ring for a Class A football championship from my sophomore year and I was a co-captain for our basketball team my senior year. College: After HS, I was accepted to Coastal Carolina University where I graduated with my English degree, and was given the chance to study abroad in Japan at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies. After CCU, my wife and I moved to Pittsburgh where I attended Duquesne University and completed my Master's degree in English Lit. Since moving to Roanoke, I went back to school at Mary Baldwin College to earn my teaching license.
