I was born and raised right here in Virginia and have lived in Roanoke City since I was 13 years old. I am a graduate of Patrick Henry High School. I attended Virginia Western and Radford University. I received a BA in English from Radford University and an MA in education from Virginia Tech. I began my career teaching sixth grade, but have been teaching English here at Fleming about 15 years. This school year comes with some substantial adjustments for all of us. I look forward to working with my students and their families as we navigate virtual learning.
